DR SUSANA ADAMS
Dr Susana Adams is a Nigerian-American Lifestyle Medicine Professional and one of the Pioneers of Integrative Medicine in West Africa. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Susana Adam leads Dr. PhysiQ Global Health and Wellness Ltd in its vision, “To lead as the most trusted partner and brand of choice in the provision of wellness and integrative health across the globe”, with a focus on driving medical and scientific innovation needed to provide holistic wellness and transformational impact on human health across the globe. In 2015, she established the Dr. PhysiQ Global Health and Wellness Centre in the United States of America before relocating it to Nigeria, marking the inception of the very first registered Integrative Medicine Centre in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria. Additionally, she is the visionary behind Nigeria’s first Diabetes Specialist Centre, and she spearheaded the creation of the premier registered Integrative-Green Hospital Pharmacy, duly licensed by the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN). These pioneering healthcare establishments have transformed thousands of lives on the African continent, guiding them toward the attainment of optimal health and wellness.
Dr. Adams boasts a robust academic background, with a Pharm D. from Long Island University, Diploma in Lifestyle Medicine from Harvard Medical School as well as Leadership in Health Management from University of Washington. Back home in Nigeria she acquired an MBA in Marketing and MPH in Preventive and Promotional Medicine from Ahmadu Bello University as well as an M Sc in Health Management from Benue State University. Dr. Susana Adams holds various certificates in Health Management and Lifestyle Medicine.
Dr. Adams has worked previously as Director of Wellness Services at Brooklyn Chiropractic & Wellness Centre, New York, USA; Quality Control and Assurance Supervisor, Pfizer, Brooklyn, New York, USA, and at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) Desk Head – Regulatory Intelligence.
Dr. Adams currently provides services and consultations for several organizations and agencies within and outside Nigeria, including The Presidency, Defence Headquarters, Central Bank of Nigeria, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Mortgage Bank, Tertiary Education Trust Fund, Federal Ministry of Health, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), et cetera. She is also on the Ministry’s Committee to develop a curriculum for the proposed Traditional Complementary and Alternative Medicine (TCAM) Institute.
Dr. Adams is an internationally renowned speaker and the author of the highly acclaimed book on health improvement titled “Everything Heals” published in 2020. She has several awards from the Federal Ministry of Health, NAFDAC, Sickle Cell Foundation of Nigeria, and international organizations amongst which is the African Women in Leadership “Award of Excellence” as the Phenomenal Woman of the Year 2021. Her hobbies include skydiving and putting smiles on faces. Dr. Susana Adams is happily married and blessed with children.
